SAMENTA Hyperlokal SME AI Fest at Digital Penang Draws Full House

Digital Penang played host to the SAMENTA Hyperlokal SME AI Fest on 05 Aug 2026, drawing a full house of entrepreneurs and business owners eager to explore practical, business-ready AI for Malaysian SMEs.

During his session, Dr Henry Tye, Founder & CEO of BigDomain and SAMENTA National Council member, discussed AI SEO and how the agentic trend is reshaping search and website creation. The key takeaway? Cosmetic aesthetics are taking a backseat. The future is all about having sufficient, high-quality data and fast-performing sites that AI truly loves. The focus is shifting toward influencing AI models to naturally feature selected brands, rather than just using AI tools to automate traditional SEO work.

Dr Henry Tye also ran a live demo on Agentic AI, showing how easily anyone can create their own Agentic AI WhatsApp Business API chatbot without needing to spend thousands of dollars each year.

Attendees were also treated to a session by Alain Lye, CEO of VeecoTech, who demonstrated AI automation in action and shared how Rakan Sales can help SMEs streamline their sales processes and improve tracking.
