SAMENTA Hyperlokal AI Fest Brings Agentic AI to SMEs at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang
Batu Kawan, Penang, 9 September 2026 — The SAMENTA Hyperlokal SME AI Fest brought a packed hall to UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College in Batu Kawan, drawing SME owners, founders and business leaders from across the northern region for a morning of practical, business-ready artificial intelligence.
Dr Henry Tye, Founder & CEO of BigDomain and a SAMENTA National Council member, delivered a live demonstration of an AI workforce built on WorkBuddy — covering a WhatsApp CRM, chatbot, broadcast and event RSVP agents. The same agents now handle marketing, customer service and day-to-day operations at BigDomain, where they are credited with saving the business approximately RM50,000 a month. The walkthrough ran entirely on live dashboards rather than slides.
His segment, AI SEO & The Future in Agentic Search for Business, examined how agentic AI is reshaping the way businesses are discovered online and what that shift means for SME marketing strategies.
Alain Lye of VeecoTech also took the stage, sharing the session with SAMENTA in front of the Batu Kawan audience.
